Integrated Performance System

As an AISC certified fabricator, Quality Assurance impacts every aspect of Steelhead’s operation. For example, our Quality Assurance Manager directs a QC team allocated to each production shift that executes “in-line” QC processes as well as a “post production” final QC sign off. Our QA managers are AWS Welding certified and holders of Structural Steel, Welding and High Strength Bolting certifications from the International Code Council and applicable municipalities, states and building officials associations. We continue to attract and develop top talent in strict adherence to our QA/QC standards to meet the ever evolving and converging needs of our clients.

Pre-Assembly & Delivery Assurance

Few companies can match Steelhead’s commitment to industrialized preassembly procedures. We take the extra time and effort to pre-assemble our engineered steel assemblies to ensure precise fit and finish. By pre-assembling complex structures at the factory, our customers realize measurable on-site assembly efficiencies. Our attention to quality assurance begins with our customer’s purchase order, extends to our delivery assurance and continues through coordination of delivery with the installation crew. Throughout the process, all parties are copied on all communication resulting in seamless delivery of design-to-destination products.

We routinely send our Quality Control Manager to the customer's job site to observe installation from arrival of components, to off-loading, through installation of all components. Throughout the process, we dialogue with our clients, document our joint findings and bring those ideas back to the plant for implementation.
